Musical Assistant of Maestro Claudio Abbado at "Le Nozze di Figaro" and "Don Giovanni" (Wiener Festwochen 1991) and of Sir George Solti at "Falstaff" (Salzburger Osterfestspiele 1993). Aviv Ron Founder of the "Musiktheater Opus Modern", an ensemble for staging contemporary operas in Vienna. In spring 1992 he conducted the world premier of the opera "The Dying Man" (Music by Sharon Eitan, Text by Karl Kraus) and the Austrian premier of Wolfgang Fortners "That Time" (Text by Samuel Beckett). During 1994 he collaborated several times with Maestro Michel Tabachnik: in France with the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Mediterranee and the Young Israel Philharmonic (World Premier of Tabachniks "Evocation") at the Verbier Festival, Switzerland. Many appearances in Eastern Europe, e.g. "Rigoletto" at the Opera Craiova, concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra "Olentia" (Rumania) and the Chamber Orchestra "Orpheu" in Bulgaria.

During the season 1994/95 Aviv Ron was invited by Maestro Gary Bertini to several productions at the New Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv, as Assistant Conductor. In this position he prepared more then 20 operas in their original versions such as Don Pasquale, L'Elisir d'Amore, Madama Butterfly, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Nabucco, Carmen, Le Contes d'Hoffmann, Werther, Der Freischuetz, Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Die Sieben Todsuenden, Jenufa, Die verkaufte Braut, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Josef (Music: Josef Tal, world premiere). In 1997/98 he held the position as Chorus Master at the New Israeli Opera, rehearsing Samson et Dalila, La Boheme, La Traviata, La Cenerentola, Rigoletto, Figaro's Hochzeit and the world premier of the "Requiem to a Leader" (in memory to Ytzhak Rabin), Music by Dov Selzer, under Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

His positions at the New Israeli Opera enabled Aviv Ron to work with distinguished conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Alain Lombard, Daniel Oren, Alberto Zedda, and others. Conducted the world premiere of the opera "Dear Son of Mine" (Music: Chaim Permont, Libretto: Talma Elyagon), a co-production of the New Israeli Opera and Israel Festival 2000. In winter 2000 conducted, arranged and edited a special version of "Carmen" for the New Israeli Opera. Aviv Ron is at the present time Musical Director of the Israel Chamber Orchestra Ramat-Gan (since 1996), Israel's oldest chamber orchestra. His programs found recognition for combining classic repertoire, performances of distinguished soloists and world premiers of Israeli composers. In 2000 the Cultural Minister honored Aviv Ron for performing Israeli music. The press underlines his elegance, precision and expressiveness. Radio and television appearances.
